Treves and Hyde is located just minutes away from the Aldgate East Station and sits it the heart of East London being a stone throw away from bustling Brick Lane. The Atmosphere is relaxed, cosy and what you’d expect of any cocktail bar-cum-restaurant in East London. The glass walls and interiors pull from the 60’s aesthetics with its use of mixed fabrications and pops of colour from oak wood, oranges and marble tops.
Set over 2 floors the Coffee shop by day featuring the only Mavam Coffee Machine in the country whilst upstairs hosts the restaurant, lit by candle light with tables sets around the central bar. This easy dining restaurant prides itself on local, organic and seasonal produce. We started with the bites to share, ‘poponcini peppers, brandade & saffron aioli’ and the ‘red pesto arancini’ a creation that made every worth while.
Treves and Hyde sources and implements the ideas of local and organic. Fresh produce is used across all dishes and change to reflect seasonality of the ingredients. Treves and Hyde specialities is in tartares and ceviches so there was no surprise one of the tastiest and most delicious plates was their ” venison tartare, truffle & burnt ketchup, carta di musica’, delicate but rich following through with their nutritious but light cuisine.
Service and staff here is great and happy to do the impossible to make your experience memorable, the best feature of it all is that Treves and Hyde offer thought about food for a fair price.
